We use kai to bring people together and help remove barriers to participating in our society.
We’re excited to announce the opening of our second café location at Manuka Cottage, Addington, for dinner from December 12th!

Run by the Share Kai Cooks Collective these community cafés encourage connection in our neighbourhoods, a taste of the delicious cuisines of Afghanistan, Eritrea, Pakistan and Nepal and are hospitality learning and income opportunities for members of the Collective.
Meals are $15, sweets $4 and drinks $3. Cash and payWave accepted (we will close our online ordering from January 2026).
Join us for lunch 12 - 1.30pm, on the first Friday of every month - in the sunny dining space at Canterbury WEA, 59 Gloucester Street, City Centre.
Join us for dinner 6 - 7.30pm, on the second Friday of every month - in the garden or dining space at Manuka Cottage, 70 Harman Street, Addington.
How our online order system for our WEA café works:
A new lunch menu featuring traditional dishes from one of our four groups: Afghan, Eritrean, Nepali/Bhutanese and Pakistani - will be released at least 1 week prior to each café day.
Order and pay for your lunch online by clicking on the menu items below (by Thursday 11am please!).
Choose your dining time - 12 midday or 12.45pm - due to high demand we are trying to space out our dining, please consider coming at 12.45pm instead of 12 if your lunch break allows!
Dine in or take your order away (for takeaway we appreciate it if you bring your own container!) at WEA Canterbury, 59 Gloucester St.
