The Cooks Collective Business Journey

The Cooks Collective are currently undergoing an intensive period of business learning, development and practice with the goal of establishing themselves as a small business in 2026. 

We're excited to be working with Dr Zainab Radhi at Aotearoa Refugee and Migrant Support Services and their expertise in supporting business start-ups, with a multi-cultural perspective. 

Share Kai and the Cooks Collective will continue to work alongside each other to hold community events in 2026, while the Cooks Collective also explore running market stalls, catering and other business ventures. 

Market stalls are a great space to practise hospitality and business skills and the Sunday Riccarton Market and Vegan Night Mākete have both been welcoming and supportive spaces for our Cooks Collective as they establish their first stalls. They're also lovely places for diners - come along, visit our Cooks and enjoy some delicious kai!
