Event Title: Share Kai and Kōrero x Windows on Elsewhere at the Christchurch Art Gallery.

Event Description: Share Kai, Amnesty International Aotearoa New Zealand and the Christchurch Art Gallery Te Puna o Waiwhetū invite you to join a special evening of art, learning, connection and appreciation of our diversity and our common ground with the Cooks Collective and members of Ōtautahi Christchurch’s former refugee communities.

What to expect on the night:

• Discussion: Amnesty International Aotearoa New Zealand will lead a discussion of the work of internationally acclaimed artist Matteo Pericoli. Through window drawings and refugee texts, Windows on Elsewhere offers a poetic and deeply personal reflection on exile, memory, and belonging. Chaired by Executive Director Jacqui Dillon and Bill Shipley, the of founder of Art for Human Rights.

• Kai: Following the presentation diners will enjoy a delicious vegan traditional meal together, cooked by the former refugee women who run the Cooks Collective. Stay tuned for the menu release!

• Tickets: $20 for a vegan main and dessert. Stay tuned for the link to purchase your tickets.

• Connection: The Christchurch Art Gallery will provide seats at the table for members of our former refugee communities. Diners will share a meal together, connect and learn about the journeys of our former refugee community members. We look forward to meeting you.
