Event Title: Share Kai Pop-Up Café Addington

Event Description: Join us for coffee, a treat or lunch - Afghanistan & Pakistan menu on Mondays, Eritrea menu on Tuesdays and Bhutan & Nepal menu on Wednesdays

All proceeds to the Share Kai Cooks Collective, a multicultural group of former refugee and migrant women.

Details:

  • Cost: meals are $16, there are always a vegan and halal meat option. The majority of our menus are also gluten-free. Drinks, snacks and sweets are $3 - $5. We accept Cash or payWave

  • Menu - coffee is on the menu every day! Plus…

    • Each Monday Afghan and Pakistani food is cooked by our Afghan members, think baklava (sweet cashew filled pastries), bolani (stuffed breads with spring onions and potato) and Afghani spiced meat, lentil and rice dishes.

    • Each Tuesday our Eritrean members cook traditional Eritrean food, think injera (sourdough pancakes) made from ancient grains teff and rice, braised stews spiced with berbere, meat and lentils, and zalabia (North African round donuts).

    • Each Wednesday our Bhutanese & Nepali cooks make a range of Nepali favourites including momos (dumplings), curries, rice, fresh salads and other treats.

Note: The Share Kai Cooks Collective is supported by InCommon, a community organisation that encourages people to reach out across cultures and faiths to make Canterbury a place where everyone feels they belong. The Others Cafe is run by Sean as a space to support humanitarian projects including events for Gaza and Palestine.
